End of uni year celebration!

Megan and I were in need of lots of cocktails and a lovely meal to celebrate the end of our uni year! We're both on different courses and she's in the year above me (and yes people keep telling me first year doesn't count, but it has definitely stressed me out). I decided right we are going to Graze Inn to finally try out their food, we've been wanting to go since last year!

Graze Inn is a beautiful bar & restaraunt on Eccy road! The inside is lovely and has a quirky theme to it which we loved! Since it was such a warm day we took up the opportunity to dine outside. It was happy hour when we arrived which meant 2 for 1 cocktails, we started with frozen strawberry daiquiris and moved onto a piña colada & a cherry Alexander (my new fave). We ordered a 2 sharer seafood platter called 'beside the seaside'. As we're both big foodies, we were astonished when it came out :) it had mini fish and chunky chips, smoked salmon, prawn cocktail, crabcake, 4 slices of bread, a sardine and mint peas. It also came with 3 different sauces. Not gonna lie, I could have easily devoured one of those to myself haha! It all tasted absolutely delightful.

We then took a stroll into town to have desert drinks at Vodka revolution which were also 2 for 1! I got the sweet shop cocktail and Tennessee mudshake whilst Megan got the peanut butter martini and a Tennessee mudshake (no pictures, sorry!)

It was a lovely end to a warm, light evening and I literally passed out from tiredness as soon as I got home.

Anyway I hope you're enjoying this weather as much as I am! How have you been spending these sunny days?

Thanks for reading!

What have I been up to?

The last time I wrote on this blog was in April just to say I was still alive and I'm still continuing to post. Now that I have officially finished (survived) my first year of university, I can start writing again!! The last few months has made me feel so drained as I stressed over everything and not just uni work, I just felt so lifeless especially during the last few weeks of my exam. Even though my last exam was on tuesday I still don't feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, but I'm proud because I managed to get through it all.

Anyway this post is mainly a short catch up on all the things I've been up to while I've been away from my blog:

  • Fall Out boy in Newcastle
  • McBusted!!
  • Bowling in between uni lectures
  • Japanese Foundation Touring Programme at showroom cinema
  • Trips to London
  • Still taking driving lessons
  • Still house hunting
  • Mother's day afternoon tea
  • Macmillan night in
  • Games night in with friends
  • Won money at a pub quiz
  • Work Easter party
  • Day trip to Cleethorpes
  • Bought a macbook
  • Booked a holiday to Florida
  • Nanan's 80th Birthday!
What I plan to do next:
  • Have a huge room clear out
  • Tone up my body for Florida
  • Start reading again
  • Pack for Florida
  • Continue house hunting
  • Practice Japanese
  • Go to Alton Towers
  • Meadowhall Ladies night in
  • Bicester Village
  • Figuring out how to change my blog design
  • Wait for uni results :(
  • Try to relax & enjoy Summer
So at the moment I'm just really looking forward to Summer and planning more adventures in the future. Especially looking forward to my holiday in sunny Florida, I can't wait to just get away even though the weather isn't too bad here in the UK. I think I just really need to take a break to feel like myself again :)
Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!
